Laura King has 18 years of combined experience as founder and principal of two specialized marketing/advertising firms, and as director of communications for a Fortune 500 healthcare company, where she established an in-house ‘ad agency.’ From 2005-2011, she held the position of executive director and president at the U.S. national headquarters of an international religious not for profit, evolving the 82-acre residential and guest facility from construction site to NYS tourist attraction and year-round retreat destination. During this period she held significant international responsibilities and board advisory positions at 37 U.S. meditation centers that were in various stages of development. She has been consulting with small businesses and non-profits since 2012, and co-founded Bridges for Business in 2013.
Laura was ordained as a western Buddhist nun for 7 years, until 2011. She is the mother of Zach, age 22, who is working for world peace as a US Marine.
James (Jim) Filiault
Jim Filiault has over 30 years of experience in the international financial services industry with a diverse range of expertise, including site location strategy, marketing analytics, technology controls, and financial budgeting and analysis. For 15 years, through 2011, Jim held the chief financial officer position for various technology and operations divisions at two of the largest banks in the world. He co-founded Bridges for Business in 2013, and now serves as an adviser and independent collaborator.
